I too was experiencing hot flashes and fainting just before #2 mirena came out. Thought I was entering the menopausal mode as well. The flashes and heart palps and all the crazy symptoms stopped after removal. Recently had a test to see if I was in menopause, but the blood test showed I was not. Weird. I am 42. Now regular peroids. Pretty much 1 a month lasting 5 days. Good luck to all. Hopefully no one will have lasting effects from this thing. Myself... I feel about 98% better now. At 1 year post. YAY!!!! Best decision ever to have no more mirena.
