The SCM-600 is about $9. more at Walmart, IOW the one you are now using- the SEM-1652A- is $20.95 and the
SCM-600 is $29.95 .

The SCM is switch selectable, both for voltage and for Amperage. IOW there are switches for 6V or 12V, and 2A/4A/6A as well. The higher Amperage *definitely* draws much harder- The difference is so perceptible that after I put it up to 4A, I hesitated to go for the 6A. I wanted the SCM-600 so I could do hand baths, plus I wanted to experience the results of using a higher Amperage.

I know there are some commercial units out there which are up to 10A, but knowing what I know now, I'd hesitate to use them. Of course, as always, someone else may have a different opinion than me. That's OK with me. For one thing, we all have different states of health. BTW a higher Amperage means a shorter treatment time..

But "More and faster" is not always good IMO, I think our bodies have to be given an opportunity to stabilize themselves- circulation, organ systems and all, after these foot baths. It seems reasonable to me that sometimes that may take a little time.

When I receive the plates I'll try the SCM-600 charger first with them. Sometimes it doesn't like to turn on, and I'm not sure why yet.. It may be there is some kind of dendritic buildup in between the cheese graters in a spot I can't reach that is inhibiting the charger from turning on. The plates OTOH, should be *far* easier to clean..

The first SCM-600 I got *was* in fact defective, but there's still something going on, I suspect.. I'm hoping the cleaning is it.
