Hi. Wow. Please read this with the spirit with which it is intended, which is to help. And I am not coming from a place of my bacteria talking for me, as I am pretty much recovered from candida for the most part. I am not coming from a place of fear, btu from a place of what can realistically work. It sounds to me like your expectations of yourself are crippling you. Not that there is anything wrong with a little fast every once in a while, but I hear you beating yourself up and causing yourself soooo much stress because you are unable to live up to the extremely high expectations you have for yourself. And that stess you are placing on yourself is something that can definitely make candida worse. People tend to dismiss stress as not such a big threat, but it really is. Plus, believe me, 6 hours of relief does not mean a cure is possible from doing it longer. Has anyone mentioned to you that candida itself can cause you to be compulsive about eating? That it can trick your brain into thinking you need to eat, that you are always hungry, especially for carby foods, and you really have no control over it - it can make you feel ompletely powerless over food. So, when you think, all you need is just a "little" more willpower - well, it is not willpower that is the issue. I was there. Maybe also since food allergies and intolerances are such a huge part of this illness, that trying to figure out what foods you are reacting to and eliminating them instead of all food would be more beneficial to your recovery. Often we feel compelled to eat things we are intolerant to orr allergic to. food intolerances are one of the major things that affected my recovery, along with liver issues. And, you do need to have some good nutritional support to heal from anything, candida included. BTW, I have no issue with your thinness - have no clue how thin you are and it really is not relevant to my points here anyway.

But, ok, if you are insistant on fasting anyway, I wish you well and hope it is everything you want it to be. I hope it works for you. If not, come back and maybe try a few things (liver support, bitters, for example, check the Truth in Medicine forum for some good info).

I am sorry you are not getting the type of support you are requesting, but you have to consider, maybe there is a good reason for that.
