Been there, done that, felt better but it's not a cure.

It DOES help, but nowhere near as much as you'd expect. Also, you don't really need anything laxative or any kind of flush - fasting gives you diarrhea around day 3.

As to passing the 48 hour mark - damn, poor you :( It's right around the end of day 2 that makes or breaks it. By days 3 or 4, you're not even going to feel hungry anymore. AT ALL.

Yep, that's right: HUNGER ONLY LASTS FOR 48 HOURS!
