Beta Carotene is not bad for you per se. It just has a very narrow range between good dosages and mildly toxic ones (those start by turning your skin orangish and go from there).

Miracle Mineral Supplement? BUGGER THAT. Stay the hell away from anything that has "miracle" in the name. That alone pretty much guarantees that it is in fact good ole snake oil!
