This is, I think, my 5th or 6th cleanse. I love them. My last one was the best ever. What I notice is that there have been layers of detox that have occurred with each consecutive cleanse. After my last cleanse I embarked on a 100% raw food diet for a couple of months. I loved it. I also made a vow to go off caffeine for an entire year. I love coffee, but I have a true addiction to it. During my raw food adventure, I started drinking some caffeine (breaking my vow) in the form of green tea. I thought I was doing so well that surely some nice organic green tea would be fine. I just can't do that. It always leads me to coffee. And it did. Coffee/caffeine does something to my blood Sugar and sets up cravings for carbs in the form of sugars and wheat. So... I went down that path, which throws me all out of whack. Here I am back on the cleanse feeling like I'm coming off of some insane binge. Seriously its like the Jeckle/Hyde syndrome. The raw food life style suites me well and while I'm there I can't imagine ever going back to the Standard American Diet (SAD). Raw foods are so delicious and nutritious and BEAUTIFUL!! But there I was eating salty chips and ice cream. Sheesh! I don't think I'm a typical binger at all. I just don't know what happened. Well... coffee happened. Anyone else have this relationship to caffeine out there? I'm really sensitive to it. It makes me high and happy. I feel like a drug addict.
