I left them solid and I just put the clips on the top. That plastic thing with the slits I mentioned, holds them secure & upright.
I've been wondering where the other posters from the past are. (the beginning of this site) It would be wonderful to hear their stories as to how their homemade devises worked for them and what health issues were changed for the better.
