Since the cultures are showing up negative for infections I seriously doubt it is either bacteria or Candida. More likely it sounds like interstitial cystitis (IC). Here is more on IC, and I also discuss magnesium that helps prevent spasms when taken WITHOUT calcium. Also remember to use an acidified magnesium such as magnesium malate or citrate. Avoid magnesium oxide/hydroxide altogether since it is poorly absorbed and it burns the tissues due to its caustic nature.

And you should not take antibiotics or anti-fungals without confirming the presence of an infection because these drugs do have side effects.
