Great article, spud. I started wondering about the "god on our side" thing when I was a child. Wasn't god on the side of the Germans too? or the Japanese? or the North Vietnamese? or the Russians? etc etc.

I recall a saying by the protesters awhile back...

""Fighting for peace is like f***ing for chastity!" It just didn't make sense. Even a child knows it.

And Dylan knew it too.... the lyrics are poignant.
