There are many examples in the old testement of killings sanctioned by the bible god, see the book of joshua and deuteronomy, just for starters, there are many others, too many to list in a single post, but not hard to find if you read the old testement.

Killing other human beings is wrong IMO, all killing, I hold this moral value, and as a result of holding this moral value, I do not kill other human beings. For me, this is wrong. This is quite obviously not a universal moral value, as people kill others human beings all the time.

As for your question about when is a fetus alive, the laws of man, (following the belief of the society in which those laws are constructed), do decide when a fetus is legally a human being. Where abortion is not illegal, the ultimate decision is the choice of the woman that finds herself pregnant, and what moral values the individual woman holds.

Yes, I think you are correct in this statement, but religion is used as a justification for war, often to cover over the real reasons that wars are started.
