The siren song of the oncologists: you are going to die but we can postpone it by a few months or so with chemotherapy. Never mind that chemotherapy does not cure anyone of cancer but instead merely tries to poison away the cancer while it also poisons away the major organs and rest of the body (more cancer patients die from the effects of chemo, such as liver failure, than actually die of their cancers). Never mind that chemo weakens the natural immune system that is essential in conquering cancer and keeping it at bay or that in the process it makes the return of cancer likely against a body even less equipped to fight it. Absolutely never mind that the typical oncologist practice makes about 75% of its income on the markup it takes on the chemo drugs it prescribes and administers. Should I also mention the fact that around 75% of oncologist surveyed said they would not take chemo or give it to a family member due to the lack of success and usually horrible side effects? And yet oncologists prescribe cancer to over 3/4 of their cancer patients.
OK, I am going to get off my soapbox (though I could stay on it for quite a while) and tell you that there absolutely is hope. Three months is not a lot of time, especially when faced with an aggressive cancer. However, there may be a silver lining or two here. The agressive cancer itself and a three month prognosis means that the doubling rate is pretty fast. On the other hand, it also means that the cancer has not yet grown and spread nearly as much as a less aggressive cancer would have with a three month prognosis. Without knowing your uncle, even if he has not had a very healthy lifestyle, his young age may be a bonus in that his organs are still young and that his body may be able to recover and help fight the cancer better once his health habits are turned into very healthy ones.
Luella is quite correct - if I were your uncle I would immediately try to do everything, and I mean everything, I could on the suggested anti-cancer protocol. I would work myself up as quickly as possible to the maximum amount of oleander I could tolerate and that was considered safe. For an average size male that would be up to 10 capsules a day of the Sutherlandia OPC capsules in divided doses or up to 8 capsules a day of the Rose Laurel OPC Plus. I consider all of the items on the protocol important but I would say that the Budwig flaxseed and cottage cheese, the insositol/IP6 and curcumin are essential. So is liver cleansing and steps to keep the liver protected and regenerating as well as keeping the bile ducts open and flowing.
Much like oleander, I would take copius amounts of inositol/IP6 (up to 10 or 12 capsules a day) and curcumin. Since curcumin is not readily absorbed into the body I would opt for the wonderful Super Bio-Curcumin product from Life Extension Foundation and take 2500 to 3000 mg daily.
It should go without saying that ALL of the advice in the protocol is intended to help a person cleanse their bodies, improve their diets and health habits, boost their immune systems and fight their cancers. None of it should be scrimped on if at all possible. In many instances, the totality of the advice may be more than necessary, however I would not take that chance with an agressive and late stage cancer. When one's very life is at stake, I firmly believe that one should go "all in" to put forth the ultimate battle against cancer. If one does so, it IS a winnable battle far more often than not - as is evidenced by your report of the man with prostate cancer and his wife with breast cancer winning their battles.
One important note: oleander is not an overnight cure for cancer and neither is the anti-cancer protocol. Instead, they work to begin attacking and gaining the upper hand on the cancer while at the same time addressing the likely root causes - chief among which may be an impaired liver (almost assuredly the case), a weakened and impaired immune system, and toxins. What normally happens when the oleander and protocol are successful, as they usually are, is that at first the spread of the cancer (and/or doubling rate) is slowed down. Next, the growth of the cancer is halted. After that the cancer begins to be eliminated and finally the body becomes cancer free, with either no evidence of the previous cancer of perhaps some small benign scar-like masses.
Since your uncle evidently has a very aggressive cancer and is in fairly late stage, it may be that an agent such as chemotherapy might be helpful in the beginning to help knock back the cancer a bit and buy some time for the natural cancer fighters and immune boosters to work. Though I am no fan of chemo, there have been instances where the combination of chemo and oleander have worked wonders. If it were me and I decided that I needed to buy some time, I would either opt for something faster acting like the cesium chloride treatment at the outset or else go with a very limited amount of chemo. Oleander does help protect from the normal damage and side effects of chemo, but the longer one takes chemo the more damage is done and the harder it will be to recover from damage to the immune system and major organs.
Certainly it is your uncle's choice to pursue what he thinks is best. I hope that he keeps in mind that oncologists only prescribe what they have been taught - and that is to attempt to either cut out, poison out or burn out the symptoms of cancer instead of addressing the actual root causes that enabled cancer to gain a foothold and advance in the first place. They have been taught virtually nothing about the roles of nutrition, toxins and lifestyles and what they have been taught about natural and alternative treatments, which are a threat to the profits of the $400 billion a year cancer industry, is that they do not work. What they have been taught about alternatives is a pack of lies and woefully deficient in virtually any information that is not surgery, chemo or radiation - and that is why we see the incidence of cancer and cancer deaths still increasing almost fifty years after the failed "war on cancer" was declared. I also hope that he understands completely that mainstream medicine has told him that they cannot save him and that at best they can only buy him some extra months of low quality life.
There is no magic bullet and no guarantee of success, but there is great hope and what nature and alternative measures may have to offer is actually beating his cancer and giving him the prospect of living out a normal lifespan. That would be my goal and I hope it is his as well.
All the best,
Tony
