Yeah, well there have been many studies showing that inulin usually specifically raises bifido numbers. Whether it's compared to sucrose of fructose that feed indiscriminately, it doesn't really change the fact that bacterial ratios normally improve and positive effects are had by already healthy test subjects. FOS and inulin are used as fillers in food, not as sweeteners. They are not nearly sweet enough to compete with fructose, sucrose, or any of the no calorie sweetners.
It just makes my problems so much worse.
