I'm not saying that all parasites are good. I'm just saying that some might be beneficial... and I wonder what our health would be like if we were always parasite free. There was a show on NPR I heard about six months ago in which a scientist was actually infecting patients with tapeworms in order to cure various diseases.

Perhaps some of these various creatures serve a symbiotic purpose that we are not yet aware of.
