I'm glad you got your antivirals. They definitely do work.

I'm not sure why your doctor thought you needed liver testing, though. Acyclovir has been in use for over 25 years and has an excellent safety record. It doesn't affect the liver. It's so safe it's even given routinely to pregnant women these days.
