Actually she doesn't 'need' to do any of these things. She doesn't need to become property (and I doubt he'd even want that) and killing yourself solves nothing.

She could turn herself into the police, though I'm not sure if charges would be pressed.

The best solution might be to ask her boyfriend what he wants her to do, to apologize to him and become a person.
