Vektek, the health and wealth prosperity gospels can go too far one direction as well as people resting in the Lord can go too far the other. I have seen God send out lifeboats for them and they ignore it. Both have some truth in them but if it's not balanced, it becomes a half truth.

I'm helping a woman and her family this weekend sell everything they own because they depended on God so much in every thing they did that it didn't seem to matter if good decision making was important. She thought God would make all her decision making right and she really didn't think she had any part in the whole scheme of things. I have never seen so many calamities happen to a precious christian over and over again.

Do you see the point I'm making here? It can go too far either direction to where it is not what God wants for us.

Our relationship to God (as a christian) is like a marriage. As a wife, we do not let the husband do or plan everything and we do nothing. It would not be a marriage or a relationship.

God loves His precious bride and together they are one.

Because the groom loves the bride, He listens to the desires of her heart and helps her in achieving the direction of those desires. But if the desires are not fruitful, He tries to guide her a different direction....if she will listen....but He does not force her to do anything.

If she chooses to do it her way without the husband's blessing, she then does not have His covering of protection.
