I have had EC for 9 years, and believe it or not I have avoided licking my lips for the past two years. I was always under the impression that licking the lips will only make it worse.

It would need a considerable & plausible amount of evidence to alter my thoughts on lip-licking. In the meantime, lip-licking is and shall remain a No-No for me.
