Hello ~

If this should be posted elsewhere, someone PLEASE tell me where. This website is huge and overwhelming and I still - after a few hours - am not sure how it all fits together, or how one could possibly read it all!

That being said, here is my question:

I have been taking 160,000 HU cayenne powder 3 times a day for about 2 weeks now. I tend to do things "hard core" and just push through the tough stuff, and not starting out as slowly as I should.

Things have been going OK until today. I mean, it's super hot, but nothing I don't get over fairly quickly.

I am not sure about whether to take with food or on an empty stomach, so I have been doing both. I have been taking first thing in the morning (warm water with some lemon and raw honey) and then after meals twice more during the day.

(Is it just me imagining things, but does it seem it would be more effective on an empty stomach? I am trying to do it that way at least once a day for that reason.)

When my stomach is full, I hardly notice, and have been taking a full teaspoon at times.

On an empty stomach....the first week or so I would really get a "burn" in the stomach immediately after swallowing. It was unpleasant but I could deal with it until it was over.

The past couple of days, that has not been a problem. What DOES happen though - is that an hour AFTER the cayenne is down I am getting a pain from much lower down in the stomach (or maybe lower than the stomach?).

I assume this is something that is needing to be "healed" down there. It's like the burning moved from my upper stomach to the lower stomach after several days.

Well today this happened again. All was well for a little over an hour and then the pain started. Then I had to run to the sink and throw up. It was nothing but water - didn't taste hot at all. I continued to retch several times even though there was nothing left to come up.

It wasn't all that bad, I am just curious why this is happening now when it didn't before. Is the cayenne "working" on a new area? Did I simply take too much too quickly?

It's just so weird to throw something up over an hour after swallowing it.

Does anyone have any idea what this is?

Thanks,
km
