This is very true. But what happens when individual people (or even an entire ethnic group) are conned into feeding the negative wolf? Surely you've noticed the major influences in the world, coaxing us to do just that!

And how would you ever know, assuming the bad wolf isn't wearing his sandwich sign with his name on it? Maybe he even looks and talks like your favorite cousin Fred!

There's another very old truism: Courage is the Foundation of all Virtue. And without courage, all other virtues you may practice lead to evil doing, and eventually to slavery or worse.

Hey Uny, what do you know about a book called "Political Ponerology", which deals with the general Laws of the origin of evil? The book contains the results of research by some post Stalin-era psychologists in the Eastern bloc, who conducted their studies and assembled their data in secret. They were studying how and why people with psychopathic personalities so easily gravitate towards the top in organized societies, particularly political and bureaucratic organizations. Apparently about 6% of humanity consists of such people. Usually, only the dysfunctional minority of such psychopathic personalities end up in trouble for nasty antisocial crimes like murder and rape. The more "normal" majority start wars and promote ponzi schemes, etc, because they have developed "masks of sanity" that enable them to pass among the other 94% of the human race, who are at a HUGE disadvantage, rarely even imagining that such people exist outside prisons and mental wards, let alone that these people learn to recognize one another and work together, eventually affecting entire societies, nations, and the world. Also, these "pathocratic" networks can infect others, creating what you might call "secondary psycopaths," people who are not really psycopaths, but who have been encouraged, conned, and coaxed into "feeding that other wolf."

Not a really easy read, as it was originally meant for scientists, but fascinating and it sure looks like they re onto something!
