I had the Mirena coil inserted on Dec 7th. Since then I have totally lost interest in sex, gained 5 pounds, and started having pain and stiffness in my knees and lower back. After reading this, I am going to have it out next week! I had attributed the weight gain and loss of sexual interest to this, but not the joint problems!
