Dr. Denis Wilson had the same theory as to why so many people of Irish descent seem to develop thyroid problems. He reasoned that descendants that dealt with famine carried on that damage via dna through to their descendants and set them up to develop thyroid issues. Could it not be even simpler than that -- being vitamin D, selenium and Iodine deficient????
