my main point, and i think I failed to mention it, is that Dr. Starr does not address the WHY. He just sez, this is the way that it is and this is the solution(dessicated thyroid).

My supposition is that the MASSES have suffered sub-optimal nutrition for quite some time now.

How does a nation feed the masses? Think about it. It's not new. Potatoes(oats, peas, beans and barley grow:), etc.

& the fact of the matter is that man evolved hunting and gathering. In fact, the advent of farming denoted a time of time of lessened nutrition(but more breeding). I'm rambling again:)

Am looking forward to convo on the book, I consumed it in one sitting, it's one of those books that I will be re-reading.
