You say that you can fix pyroluria with diet so its not genetic.What if you go off the diet,does it come back? I do believe it is genetic and I fix it with supplements,but if I go off the supplements it comes back. The flaw causes depletion of b6 ,zinc ,magnesium etc. etc. so you replace them.Also you have to take the b6 and zinc hours apart or they deplete each other. I know that for a fact.If this is an infection than are you saying that it is contagious, and this is why it runs in families?Sometimes many of the children will have it.You would think the pharmaceutical companies would be on that to sell Antibiotics .I do wish more was known about this. People look at you like you have two heads when you say "I have pyroluria."I am so tired of explaining my illness to people who ask. They just don't get it. Most doctors don't know much either and what they think they know is wrong and they don't know how to treat you and they definitely don't like you correcting them. It is very frustrating.
