I wish I could explain why but I too have had the cold/hot flashes. I would assume it is detox and/or the thyroid trying to stabilize in the face of increased Iodine intake. Probably the other hormones trying to stabilize as well. For me sometimes, it appears to be adrenal related such as getting cold after drinking a cup of caffeinated coffee or excercising too hard. Hopefully, it's just an adjustment phase.
