Hi..

I had a very similar experience when I broke up with the guy I was dating in college. We dated all 4 years, moved in together 2 years until he graduated and I saw him on breaks. We planned to get married. I broke up with him because of deep seated moral issues that I had. He was a civil engineer and got a job with the CIA and went to South America to help design training facilities there. The CIA was NOT supposed to be there. I had a very hard time accepting that he worked for "The Company". He never came right out and told me who he worked for, but I got phone calls from him in South America.

After we broke up, I had dreams about him. The most I can remember is sitting in a room with palm type trees, you know, big fronds, in big planters. He'd find me and try to talk to me. Now mind you this was a while after we'd broken up, he'd met someone else and married her. These dreams would happen 2-3 nights a week. I finally called him up and told him to stop invading my dreams. The dreams stopped. So, I'm guessing it wasn't a dream but an astral travel memory. I wouldn't call it lucid, because I wasn't aware while I was dreaming that I was dreaming. But the dream was vivid and I would always wake up afterwards upset.
