I use to apply burt's bees after I showered at night so it could lock in the moisture. I would still wake up with crusts of dead skin on my lips. I never tried licking my lips before applying it though. I do agree that burt's bees is a good lip balm overall but it melts easily in hot weather. I might try that uriage stick cause it says it doesn't melt. I guess I'll give it a shot but my EC is probably more severe than yours so it probably won't work. Trust me that statement is not a badge of honor. I take it your not using aloe vera every two days anymore. I never tried aloe vera cause I thought it wouldn't be potent enough to exfoliate the dead skin which seems to want to stay on my lips with most products. I'll give the burt's bees a shot though as I'm willing to try anything different.
