Greetings :)

When assisting someone that's had an organ transplant, we must be EXTREMELY careful.  As you likely know, people that have had organ transplants have to be on drugs that suppress their immune system for the rest of their life (to help prevent the body rejecting the organ).  Hence, any herb/substance that increases the action of the immune system, or any herb/substance that lowers the blood level of the drugs must be totally avoided.  The ones that come immediately to mind are echinacea (lowers blood levels of the drugs AND increases the immune action),  astragulus, pau d'arco, certain mushroom, possibly garlic...and bentonite clay & activated charcoal.  So any time we offer advice (or herbs) to someone with an organ transplant, this is always at the TOP of the list of considerations.

ok here is a little info ..this guy needs help and relief from pain..

he is 28
kidney failure runs highly in his family
his twin brother died of renal failure
he has already had 1 kidney transplant (got it from his mom)
he cant get in to see doctor till 28th of this month at the VA..
he has been to the ER but they wont give him anything for pain only antibiotics

It's great that his kidney came from his mom (that makes a big difference in every aspect of the transplant).  It's insane the VA won't see him sooner, and even more frustrating that the ER won't give him anything for pain.  :::sigh:::  Sheesh, since he's stuck dealing with allopathic medicine, the least they should do is prescribe the drugs that will work for what his pain.  That's just terrible.

he has kidney stones in one kidney
had 10 kidney surgerys too  I'm so sorry he's had all this to deal with (and the pain, frustration & fear it causes).  He's certainly "high risk", but there is a lot he can do.

is there anything we can do for him to 1.get him outta pain
2.get rid of his kidney stones 3. heal his kidneys  below

I gave him the kidney tincture to take and he has been taking it but it not giving him any relief yet ..he has been taking it for about a week now.  I've just done my best (1 1/2 hour searching) to check that the herbs in the 3 different "kidney formulas" (below) that we have, won't cause any trouble with the anti-immune drugs or the transplant.  And it seems to me that all three shouldn't cause any problems.  However, you and he both need to sit down at the computer and spend even longer checking them out.  I know a lot of herb/drug interactions (and herb actions), but I don't know much more than the basics on organ transplants.  And our first order of business is to "do NO harm"!

********

and just found out he only pees once every 2 days... :(

he was having trouble with swelling in his legs too last night of course, and likely he has major electrolyte imbalances, too.  In fact, here's a list of common symptoms for various stages of kidney compromise (compiled from various sources):

Some of the symptoms of various types of uremia & kidney compromise:  tiredness/exhaustion, mental compromise, heart palpitations and arrhythmias, hiccups, weight loss, bleeding, diarrhea, vomiting, lack of appetite, decreased libido, irritability, bruising (spontaneous bruising and normal bruising enhanced), skin rashes, low (or high) urine output, pale skin, cramps, muscle twitching, swelling (any & everyplace), decreased sensation in hands/feet, white crystals in and on the skin (uremic frost)....and electrolyte imbalances (as well as ALL mineral imbalances).

he has been living off of powerade  I realize this is helping balance his electrolytes, but do you best to try to get him to alternate it with glasses of pure water.

pain was so bad last night he was throwing up :(   there's not much worse than pain from kidney stones.  The blockage can cause vomiting, too.

I gave him the bottle of kidney cleanse stuff cause he hasnt got the money right now to even pay for a candy bar.  You've got a heart of gold, that's for sure   But it'll likely take a lot more than that to get him out of pain & crisis.

he is ex-marine with honorable disharge ..been shot 4 times in the back

his check is posed to start back up next month (he got into a some trouble and got it cut out for a while .but its posed to start back up next month..but till then he has no money.  ??? (grrrr), so if you pay your dues and risk your life for your country, and then 'get into some trouble' after you've been discharged...the government cuts off your check?  .I dont think he has the time to be wasting here though  It doesn't sound like to me, either.

he is also dating my daughter and I found out that I may be a grandmother because of it...UGH! she is so not ready for all this and neither am I .  Y'all will make the best out of whatever happens - I don't know of very many mothers that were "ready" :)  If there's any possibility she's pregnant, do your best to get her started (at the very least) on some Superfood (and off the toxins & poisons).

I would hate to see another person die/suffer because the docs wont get their head outta their you know what and help him... but then again thats so typical. but he is a human being that deserves to be helped like any other regardless.I just wished I was in a situation to where I could help more ..( sigh) Amen and amen...I know exactly how you feel (you know what "they" did to my precious mother)

like I said his app is with the VA doctor on the 28th but till then he needs relief  and he deserve relief, too.

is their anything pretty cheap and that would work fast for him to get him outta pain and possibly pass those stones? I think he has some scarring in there from all the surgeries myself that could be adding to the problem too..  Yes, there's all kinds of complications likely from the surgeries...but there are inexpensive things that should help (below)

I read up that watermelons and parsley tea and lemonade diet are helpful ..they only have tap water though ....ugh! Yes, all those are good - I'm partial to parsley.  Hopefully someone can squeeze out enough moolah for a few gallons of distilled water.
of course we know that juice fasting is good for anything but not really feasable for him to do ...due to monies it takes to buy all the stuff needed ..but I have a juicer that they could use for a while .

I dunno ..but I know that I feel really sorry for him being in all this pain and noone is helping

he is afraid that he is gonna die like his grandfather and twin brother did with renal failure ..but he keeps pushing on and trying to go and do what /when he can ..he is tough I can say that much  Good for him!

just wanted to add a little more info

1) Parsley tea - it's loaded with minerals and it's wonderful for the kidneys & assosiated edema/swelling (and it's a fantastic diuretic).  Dr. Chirstopher says: Parsley root tea will help remove all stones including gallstones and kidney stones if they are not too large.  One doctor who made a trip to Holland was surprised to see medical doctors prescribing Parsley tea for kidney stone and other kidney and related complaints, including pressure of the prostate.  He returned to his practice at home and began prescribing the same remedy with the same good results

2) Castor Oil packs on his kidneys all day long

3) Activated charcoal poultices on his kidneys all night long ACTIVATED CHARCOAL POULTICE

4) There's likely infection involved, and since garlic & echinacea are not an option, then woud be a time when I recommend high doses of colloidal silver (I think that's safe, let me check at Utopia Silver - they have the best info/products I know of).  Whoops-maybe - it says there that Colloidal Silver boosts/augments the immune system (grrr).  But I don't understand how it would....but I DO know who to ask (Tony Isaacs), so I just posted that question on his forum here: http://curezone.com/forums/fm.asp?i=1588599  so keep checking for his reply on that.

5) DEEP foot reflexology is likely to help him pass the stones, but it HAS to be deep (he'd wanna use something like the rounded end of a wooden spoon and dig into the kidney spots)...and it might take some time, but it should help force out those stones (more parsley tea!).  Reflexology foot map - Dorling Kindersley

Below are all the herbs in each of the kidney formulas we have.  If I were going to choose just one, at this point it would be the Kidney Stone formula - here's how to use it: Kidney Stone Program

Anne, I'm not a doctor and I don't know all the issues surrounding transplanted kidneys.  I know that Kidney Stone formula definitely dissolves stones (and I can't find anything that would indicate he shouldn't use it), but you/him need to check that out to make sure.  You know I'd send him a bag of it and he could pay me "whenever"...but it wouldn't likely get there 'till Tuesday, even if we sent it tomorrow...and that doesn't give him any help now.  Perhaps (if the money can be scraped together), you could find the herbs close by (???)  All three are essential (the marshmallow root provides the mucilage to make it soothing to pass the stones - so maybe if you could only get the marshmallow root, that would help with the pain and passing of the stones).

'Hope he can get some good/fast relief from these things -

Healthiest of blessings,

Uny
