If a parent must take their child to the dentist, I have learned that parent must also TELL the dentist ahead of time -
"Please, do NOT give my child the fluoride treatment for his/her teeth!!!!!"

Seems they can do it without your permission, and they do it automatically, so you better tell them ahead of time.
