I was wondering the same exact question, how many millions or billions of bacteria would be in a cup of kefir, or taking about a tsp. of grains....
I am the only one drinking kefir in my family. I just swallow the excess grains down with a swig of water. It's been fine, but I have no one to give them to, so I just take the exess like a pill.
