I can corroborate all this, times 2.

It was disquieting when bromide zits started to present on me after starting iodine. Aw, the hell with that... it was outrageous. WTF was all that I thought? Several things just started to happen and I had no damned idea what was going on. Metallic taste in my mouth. These zits as if I were 15 again. And so on.

My sweetie began to break out too. Like, really break out. She was ultra bummed. It took trusting ourselves, and info here, to press forward. And we are 10000% glad. Now we know.

So get this... after xmas, and having fun cheating on the diets, I felt it was time for some spring cleaning, tho early. So into a detox regime. And there it was. Clockwork. Bromide zits galore. It was a great lesson. How necessary paying attention to all of this, from what goes in, what has 'gone' in over the years, and that the game is never over.

My sweetie has labs to monitor her liver every two months. We play. We will have a blow up meal or two early in the cycle, and then work to clean both of our acts up because things show up in her labs. But the idea of "oh heck, we'll just splurge for a meal ro three, and let Iodine clean things out in time for labs", well, news flash... it doesn't work like that. Bromide zits have been stark reminders of this each time I place us into a detox zone, things get pretty durned revealing...
