CAN SOMEONE SHED SOME LIGHT ( ;-) ) ON THIS, please?

An amazing vision of the full moon, on the velvet sky, within an outline like a perfectly drawn (in silvery tones) Egyptian eye. That is, top and bottom lid lines delineated in perfect arcs, and the moon like a loving iris, the whole softly lit and numinous. (And it was Valentine’s Day!!) At the time, I was in "silent" retreat, (though I was the cook, so not gagged), and moving from one cabin to another. The person I was walking with later said she'd seen this before. I never had -- and have never heard of this phenomenon.

Now I would like to draw this into a picture, for a picture book, but would like to read/learn/hear more about it, at least on the external (apparent) plane. Anyone experienced this? It was a nice country sky--obviously, that helps.

(At the time, not cameras nor internet nor Cell Phone s were not on anyone's mind. How life has changed!!!)
