That's right. Gas/cramping does not have an adverse effect on healing at all, it is only a temporary measure by the body in readjusting to cleansing/healing and can happen at anytime during a fast........or not at all.
This happened to me on my first extended 25 day fast in its last week.
Very uncomfortable and distressing.
