Luella, this is a really good article. I am an extreme animal lover and where I live people are constantly dumping their pet bunnies in an area by the beach here. They generally don't survive because they don't know how to and end up getting injured and suffer until they die.
I have on occasion rescued some of them and delivered them to a Bunny Rescue Home where they belong but it is a never ending cycle.. It's so sad.
