There is only one God, and this one God is in three persons.

God the Father
God the Son (Jesus Christ)
God the Holy Spirit

The Father is not the Son
The Son is not the Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit is not the Father

God is not 1 + 1 + 1 = 3
God is 1 x 1 x 1 = 1


Most Fathers are beloved and God the Father is no different. Things have not changed that much.
