Hey everyone. I agree, most denominational Christian churches verbally state the Apostles Creed. The word Catholic means Universal and this has been explained to me many times.....but even being the denominational Christian that I am, I will not verbally state this.

I believe it does mean Roman Catholic Church...who by the way, also call themselves the Universal Church. As long as I believe that is what the definition means, that is what it means in my heart. I can not state something to my God that I do not believe.....so I don't. The rest of the Apostles Creed is fine as far as I'm concerned.

Why do I continue to go to church if I believe this way?.....because church is where people go to find God...not knowing they can find Him right where they are. These people are searching for God just like anyone else and should be helped to truly find Him and not disrespected because of their humble search. Do we really want to run from our churches and abandon those who seek? Leaving the wolves/coyotes to tend the flock?

Church does not have to become the daughter of the harlot. Church should be a collection of people who's hearts and minds are focused on God and not focused themselves. The Pastor should have a heart of a servant as well as the Deacons and Elders to be a good example for the rest. They are not above anyone....they should humble themselves to be lesser and to serve the needs of the people.

In my opinion, if a church is backwards in their thinking and the Pastor is the boss....it IS a daughter of the Harlot. (false body of Christ)
