"We are all predestined to be called.
Mat.20:16 So the last shall be first, and the first last: for many be called, but few chosen."
I agree that the call to come to God is universal to all. But God's election is not universal according to the scriptures.
Ephesians 1:4-6
For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love 5he[c] predestined us to be adopted as his sons through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will— 6to the praise of his glorious grace, which he has freely given us in the One he loves.
2 Timothy 1:9
9who has saved us and called us to a holy life—not because of anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace. This grace was given us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time,
It clearly says that God saved us, based on nothing we did, and when did he do this? before the beginning of time. Regardless which view you take, that is hard to make say anything else, wouldn't you honestly admit?
But this is why these debates have gone on for so long: the sabbath debate, the God's sovereignty vs. Man's free will in salvation debate, etc. etc. And that's okay. Where christians go wrong is to declare others not to be christians when they interpret scriptures differently than they do. I've seen a lot of that go on. None of us see things 100% clear right now. The bible says in
1 Corinthians 13:12:
12Now we see but a poor reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.
