I don’t believe that you got an answer to your original question. “if i take a good probiotic do i need to colon cleanse too or not?”

My answer is what are you trying to accomplish? If you are trying to colon cleanse a probiotic will not replace a colon cleanse, if you are trying to improve your digestion a good probiotic will most probably be far better than a colon cleanse.

A colon cleanse, there so many different good ones, followed by a few days of a good probiotic will be an excellent way to go. I personally prefer psyllium & Bentonite with either laxatives or cleansing enemas.

As far as probiotics go, i prefer kefir or home made yogurt but a good probiotic pill with enteric coating is also fine. The coating is necessary because your stomach acid will destroy the active enzymes in the pill.

I hope that this will give you some generalized ideas.
