I'm kind of on the fence about this one. I live in the town where this happened and it was sickening what this girl did. She paid a man to beat her in her stomach to kill the baby she was carrying. There is nothing they can do to her at all, because right now this isn't viewed as a criminal act. Unborn babies aren't really people in the eyes of the law, and should be able to be legally terminated up to birth. That is sickening to me as well. In my book that is just plain murder.

I don't want the government intruding any more than they do already, but this girl got off scott-free for paying to have someone try to beat her baby to death (the man went to prison by the way). She should have some consequences dealt to her for this terrible act, but according to our laws here in Utah, she did nothing wrong. Something needs to change.
