You'll discover that there lots of various means on this site. From an herbologists point of view, I can explain a little bit of "why" you have that kind of bacteria growing. Then you can make a plan-of-attack.

Bacteriae need three things to proliferate: warmth, moisture, and a food source. You have all three in your intestines. Under normal conditions, the liver produces bile which is the body's strong, natural ANTISEPTIC to keep your intestinal walls clean. When the liver becomes sluggish due to congestion, you lack the cleansing action of bile therefore allowing excessive waste to build-up on the intestinal walls over the years. IT'S THIS WASTE THAT BECOMES THE FOOD SOURCE FOR THE BACTERIA. A good herbal tonic will get the liver to increase bile and this, in turn, will clean out the waste (bile is also the body's own laxative). Eliminate the food source (waste), then you'll eliminate the bacteria and the body can begin to heal itself. Remember, bacteria CANNOT proliferate on healthy, clean tissue.

I respect some of the protocols that you'll learn about on this forum such as liver/parasite/colon cleanses. But they won't leave the body with the nutritional building blocks that's needed for a longer lasting benefit.

Without knowing other important aspects of your make-up (i.e. constitution, krases, bio-type, symptomology, etc.) I can't say more. However, I recommend, if you want to pursue the use of herbs, that you get in touch with a reputable herbologist for a full evaluation. Western herbology has a lot to be desired, so if you can . . . get in touch with a Chinese herbologist. If you can't find one, then there is more excellent methods of self-treatment you can learn about on this site and try.
