Halle Berry - a type 2 misdiagnosed as a type 1. Her blood glucose was so high at diagnosis that she was in a coma. Overweight? Don't think so.

Type 1 and type 2 are very, very different. If (BIG if) someone was able to "cure" type 2 diabetes, the "cure" for type one would most assuredly not be the same "cure".

I have an insulin pump. I can go without bolusing for days at a time if I choose. I just either eat foods that are the lowest on the gycemic index or I don't eat anything at all.

So I guess I've "cured" myself several times over. :) I just wish it would "stick".

It doesn't. Why? Because it is an autoimmune disease. My pancreas no longer makes insulin. No amount of freakin' cabbage is going to change that.

There are many, many *experts* who are expert at nothing but separating fools from their money.
