Yes, it can accumulate and can lead to signs of toxicity since it's a medium strength herb. It's always wise to blend it with other herbs and rarely as a single herb.

It must not be used in deficient YIN conditions nor with a fatty heart degeneration. Exactly what are you needing it for?
