[Self: take a deep breath. Be brave, be brave...] Lol, you don't need to be brave, silly girl....you need to RUN! (just funnin' wid ya). We're all here for "confession" any time anybody needs to confess :) I passed out yesterday at work. I had eaten a small breakfast, then got to work at noon. I was hungry, but instead of reaching for something healthy, I turned in the direction of a -- drum roll -- King cake sitting there in its disgusting, seductive glory. Well now, having just googled & learned about King Cake...lol...I can see how you'd be tempted. I sure hope it was a really good, homemade one...it'd be awful if you had to suffer through all that if it didn't even taste good! I KNOW I KNOW... Here's a hammer. Just get it over with: < bending head > It's the rolling pin treatment for you! Nasty stuff, all that sugar and refined flour, and oh yeah, dye.. But sugar craving is a big problem I've fought all my life. (altho it has been significantly reduced since i've been cleansing hard & doing other good things like superfood, garlic, cayenne, etc) Yes, processed sugar is a highly addictive poison. Please give yourself a true "knowledge treat" that will fortify your will AND make your healing pathway SO much easier...by reading this: Sugar, The Sweet Thief of Life The memory of that kings cake... how to describe it. It's like the morning after a bad drinking binge. Or, i don't know, the term skanky (non)food comes to mind. lolmao...I haven't heard the word "skanky" in YEARS! Yep, I know that feeling and that food...and 'skanky' describes it perfectly. I predict it will henceforth be a VERY common word on this forum!! So.... so.... so.... I not only ate one piece of it -- I had a second. But of course! I mean, come ON, we all know it...there's just no such thing as ONE piece of a Pepperidge Farm cake or just a spoonful of Hagen Daaz - so why should it be any different with a King Cake? The logic of "I've blown it now, so what difference does it make if I ingest more poison?", is as deeply imbedded as someone that's overweight eating "everything on their plate, so they don't waste it". What's really more of a waste? Throwing it away or getting fatter? (What IS wrong with us? I'm blaming the fluoride :) After eating the skank food I had my "Uny cocktail" -- which for me is a few oz apple juice, water, 2 T superfood, cayenne, and ashwaghanda (delicious!). At least it made me feel less guilty. omg, I'm suprised it didn't make you throw-up! Within 30 minutes I was extremely drowsy. Yep, I know that "drowsy". Was so bad I had to go downstairs to a nap/relaxation room we have here at work. I slept for about 25 min, and woke up feeling terrible -- room too hot and dry from the heater. My heart was racing. I got up and walked down the hall and got on the elevator to come back up to my floor. As I was stepping out of the elevator, I suddenly got very dizzy and I said to myself "I need to sit down." Next thing I knew I was lying on my back, confused, staring up at the ceiling, my coat & stuff strewn about on the floor. Had no idea where I was or how I got there... I stirred a bit, remembered where i was, got up and slunk past a glass-enclosed conference room full of senior management. Had they seen me collapse like an overstuffed sack of potatoes?...oh dear - I'm so glad you didn't hurt yourself or break anything! I was still dizzy and nauseous and found a sofa in a nearby break room. My manager made me eat something solid... eventually felt better. Still "off" and somewhat tingly the rest of the day. Still a little off today. I've noticed the past few months more sensitivity to carbs -- esp refined ones. A large meal and maybe a dessert afterwards (unusual for me) would have set my heart to racing. Now though, a much smaller serving of carbs makes my heart race. Here's the basics of "fainting" - it's always lack of blood flow/oxygen to the brain, but brought on by many different reasons: http://familydoctor.org/online/famdocen/home/articles/065.html I had a near-fainting episode in December. That time I hadn't eaten much either, the dizziness hit more slowly and i was able to find a place to sit & put my head down, instead of fainting. I was at a ball game, so i had to eat peanuts or cheese crackers or something -- and the symptoms gradually subsided. So far it's sounding like low blood sugar, eh? Good news Uny: I have cut WAY back on caffeine (coffee). Still have a ways to go. I had been at an 8-10 cup/day level, and now I'm down to 3. [This is a subject for another post... cutting back has been WAY harder than I anticipated.] You're doing WONDERFULLY! 8-10 down to THREE?! Good for you!! (and major kudos for fighting the good fight...getting off coffee is TOUGH! Imagine doing it without any Kola Nut!). Hmmm, might this have something to do with it all? Oh yes - read on... So...... What do you think happened yesterday? I think I have some low blood sugar thing going on. However it appears that all that sugar caused me to crash and burn, rather than spike, then crash & burn -- which I think is weird. Yep, it sounds like low blood sugar...but I think it's likely you DID spike, then crash and burn, you probably don't realize just how fast & hard it can happen. You're talking to an ex-coffee addict here (a couple of years of 12-24 Diet Pepsi's and 1-2 pots of coffee daily...sometimes more). Since coffee raises blood sugar it takes away hunger...and since I've always had a very bad habit of 'starving/stuffing' over any given day, I'm all too aware that even 1/2-1 cup of strong coffee can knock out a hunger pang in less than 5 minutes...that's a pretty fast spike in my book. In fact, I remember (when hypoglycemia was all the rage), 25 yrs ago, I had testing done for LBS. Had a glucose tolerance test. An internal medicine doc said I metabolized sugar strangely -- instead of the normal blood sugar spike, mine stayed fairly normal, then crashed. Okay, well that's sure a possibility...but it'd be odd you'd be the same after 25 years. Of course, it's also a possibility that the test was read/interpreted incorrectly (I'm not trying to be "right", it's just that so much lab work is full of errors, so let's keep that as a possibility). Also a possibility, is that when you were drinking? There's another big variable to consider. I am suitably humbled and scared into taking the sugar / refined crap / skank food issue seriously. That'd definitely do it for me, too. If i can cut out caffeine, I can do this. I can do this. I can do this...Yes you can! And nothing will give you self-empowermt, enhanced health & strength, and get you over the hump faster than a long juice fast (don't have a cow yet, Bundles - the juice/blood sugar thing gets more attention later). low blood sugar? prediabetes? adrenal issues masquerading as LBS? hypothyroidism? Let's take stock of what's been going on here...for years (how many?) you were dealing with alcohol issues (which you probably know, have a negative impact on the pancreas, which means blood sugar). In fact, the two major causes of pancreatitis are: alcoholism and gallstones (which equals liver compromise on both counts). But lately (for how many years?) you've been 'artificially' raising your blood sugar with caffeine (and also stressing your liver)...and then you took 3/4 of the caffeine away in a very short time. And that did ?what? to your "normal" blood sugar level? Dropped it substantially. And then, with your blood sugar likely far lower than what your body is used to... :::insert scary organ music here::: you ate two pieces of King Cake...not just a white sugar carb, but a white flour carb as well (a truly skanky combo). Your blood sugar either spiked (or it didn't), but it certainly dropped... and then an hour later you hit the floor "like an overstuffed sack of potatoes". Advice, please...? You betcha! Lord almightly, don't go to an MD, or they will definitely tell you one of these low blood sugar? prediabetes? adrenal issues masquerading as LBS? hypothyroidism? (or a combination of several), dunk you in the 'fear tank' and throw the pharmacy at you. 'Sounds to me like your body (all of our bodies!) is a true miracle machine! It's done it's best to deal with what it's been given...and is responding exactly like it's supposed to respond! So if your body is responding exactly the way it's supposed to respond, you know what that means? It means it's not yet the time for stress, worry, 'gloom & doom' (or for caskets or nursing homes)...if means it's VERY capable of healing itself (because it sure seems to me like it's acting like a 'normal body' to me)! (as an aside, it also likely means that Kola Nut doesn't artificially raise the blood sugar like the toxic caffeine from coffee). So, what to do now? (other than rejoice that God/Nature gave us such an amazing body that can withstand our abuse so incredibly and still be able to 'be normal' and heal itself? and add a healthy dose of thankfulness that you're not one of those that will be a victim of the PTB, and that you will be able to heal yourself and live a full life of truly vibrant health?). Here's what I suggest (along with a 30 day juice fast): - of course IF#1/IF#2 (to keep things moving, clean & normalize the intestinal tract and absorb the toxins that'll be released by the juice fasting) - plenty of Superfood (I'd add extra nutritional yeast for the extra protein if I were you) - at least 8oz of Pancreas Tincture monthly PANCREAS PANACEA - stable level of cayenne daily (info is conflicting on the 'net, some warning against it's use for hypoglycemia, but we know Schulze/Christopher used it for ALL blood sugar issues, and we also know it's a great benefit for insulin resistance, which is likely an issue) - - now would be a GREAT time to do a seriously good parasite cleanse (and since you're doing the IF#2 and ACV Bomb anyway, why not deal with the critters at the same time? Everything works SO much better (and heals SO much faster) when we do it all together. -- Liver? oh YES! You know the routine (I think) - a 5 day liver cleanse http://healingtools.tripod.com/fivedayliv.html followed by a full liver flush (at least 2 in 30 days, but every week would be great) and daily CE's; nightly castor oil packs. And let's add this (easy!): on top of using the Liver tincture for the 5 day cleanse, keep the bottle with you and use it as you would 'bitters' (the liver is stimulated to produce bile whenever we ingest anything bitter - and I know of nothing more bitter than that tincture!). Every couple-three hours just put a few drops on your tongue (Miss H and I have been doing thing and we're feeling/sensing a fantastic liver response...our libbers are lubbing us fersure :) - go easy on the garlic - it lowers blood sugar slightly - I don't remember what (if anything) you're doing for your stress and comforting your adrenals, but Ashwagandha root powder is fantastic (from Mountain Rose or Starwest Botanicals), and the Adrenal tincture is also very beneficial. - Sleep? Are you getting good/sound sleep? If not you might wanna try one of the herbal sedative tinctures. (options: Nerve Sedative {a blend of various sedative/calming herbs}; Kava root; Passionflower; Varlerian root or Wild Lettuce). And be sure to be getting rid of the EMF stress daily by barefootin' (if it's cold/snowy, just put on 2-3 pairs of socks). - You're under some major stress, I know...so I can't see how you're not dealing with some level of depression (not to mention frustration all-round gloominess). Of course, the caffeine withdrawal would make it even worse. St. John's Wort is truly your friend (and incredibly effective when it's not the 'storebought junk'). p.s. i'm even afraid of juicing now. So much fructose. And I'm afraid you've been scammed. We're talking moderate levels of NATURAL sugar here. Even though "sugar feeds cancer", both Dr. Christopher/Schulze allowed 'full fruit natural juices'. Dr. Christopher's IP didn't even give the option! A week on carrot; a week on apple; a week on GRAPE! (this is because natural sugar is normal & healthy). Dr. Gerson used carrot/apple, carrot, and mixed greens (with/out carrots & apples) and you could stick to just those if you're worried. BUT, if you 'chew your juices' like Dr. Christopher recommeded http://curezone.com/forums/fm.asp?i=1460306#i (thoroughly mixing the juice with the digestive enzymes in the saliva, hence breaking down the sugar before it ever even reaches the stomach), he found that his patients with both high or low blood sugar...?...had NO fluctuations in blood sugar after thoroughly chewing their juice! Of course, you can always dilute the juices with a bit of water, too :) Read (or reread) this: JUICE-FASTING: The POWERFUL healing therapy! So, that's what methinks - how's that resonate with you and your doctor within? 'Need a pep-talk (or a reality smack)? Or are you already sick n' tired of being sick n' tired and MORE than ready to make your health (and temple) the worthy priority they should be?...so you can be a WINNER? (okay, that was a mean, lil' trick question, lol). Let me know what'cher thinkin' and I'll do my best to offer whatever I can to help. -Bundles Hugs & HUGE healing blessings! Unyquity
