Thank you very much for your candor. It was illuminating and your wife is very lucky. I can relate somewhat. Even when my husband used to be on travel, my "solo" events were based on fantasies about him. I figured much the same, that I should direct that energy toward him. He, being a soldier and being deployed for many months at a time, feels that solo action is a necessity.

It's part of an accepted lifestyle, yet I hope that while he's home he may gravitate to more of what you're talking about. Considering what you've said, I may try to nudge him in that direction. If you read my earlier posts, you'll see that sex overall is a touchy spot that I'm hoping will improve. Something about his mindset (again, see my previous post why I truly think this is in HIS head) is blocking us from the contact we've enjoyed at other times. As we discuss why our home sex life has dwindled, I will try to impress upon him this philosophy. It is nice to know that it can work from a man's perspective, so thank you.
