Point being we really don't know if he was truly a Christian. There are plenty of organizations that are co-opting positions for political advancement. Just take a look at the environmentalist movement. There could be some Christians in the physical churches, I really don't know for sure. I attend to the temple of my body, not some hierarchical organization of man. There were lots of other Christian organizations before the Catholic Church, some still exist, they were just very good at ensuring those organizations were destroyed, as much as possible. From my studies of Catholicism, I have found it is a mixture of Christianity and various Pagan cults. Hence people pray to statues and other idols. And the Pope is said to be "The Vicar of Christ" The term "vicar" comes from the Latin word vicarius, which means "instead of." That sounds like anti christian to me... you can't be in the place of Christ.
Thats why there is the Holy Spirit.

Non-christians empower someone by saying they are Christian when in truth they are not. And when they are wronged by the said Christian they tend to blame the entire philosophy, how convenient.

1 Corinthians 6:19
Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own;

Luke 6:37
Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven.

Luke 13
22Then Jesus went through the towns and villages, teaching as he made his way to Jerusalem. 23Someone asked him, “Lord, are only a few people going to be saved?”

He said to them, 24“Make every effort to enter through the narrow door, because many, I tell you, will try to enter and will not be able to. 25Once the owner of the house gets up and closes the door, you will stand outside knocking and pleading, ‘Sir, open the door for us.’

“But he will answer, ‘I don’t know you or where you come from.’

26“Then you will say, ‘We ate and drank with you, and you taught in our streets.’

27“But he will reply, ‘I don’t know you or where you come from. Away from me, all you evildoers!’

28“There will be weeping there, and gnashing of teeth, when you see Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and all the prophets in the kingdom of God, but you yourselves thrown out. 29People will come from east and west and north and south, and will take their places at the feast in the kingdom of God. 30Indeed there are those who are last who will be first, and first who will be last.”
