Thank you very much for your well meaning message. I must inquire, are you male or female? It's good to know whose perspective an opinion on this is coming from.

You said "You deserve better." I do deserve a great relationship, and I have one and I provide one, so this is good. That said, your statment implies a sense of being mistreated in some way or that he's underdelivering. Sure, I wouldn't have minded if he "delivered" his passion to me in that morning. Yet, I must keep an open mind to try to understand the male perspective before I jump to defensiveness, I believe.

What if there is something different and personal about lone self-gratification for men? Then would I not be taking away that aspect of his sexuality by saying I must be there for every sexual event, just to comfort my ego? I do not know if this is the case; it is just me being careful before wrongly approaching a touchy situation.

You asked for me to keep you informed. For the time being, I will follow up on the perspective offered by the two men in this thread and leave the situation alone. Thier perspective does help assauge my ego a bit. I will be on the lookout for other indicators of a problem (I always am cautious for warnings that need to be addressed in my marriage anyway). If I don't see anything, I think I will relax and keep the men's message at hand as a comfort.
