I think most people have "personality disorders," if we're counting anxiety and depression. The line between clinical and normal Depression is pretty arbitrary (whether it impacts your life negatively in the long run is subjective), and anti-depressants like Prozac are clearly overprescribed. But there is a "classic" case in which SSRI's worked, which I linked on the wiki under Success Stories.

It could be like the "chicken and the egg," similar to this Leeds Uni study that linked Depression to obsessive Internet use and addiction.

There is no conclusion as to whether Internet use causes depression, or depressed people are drawn to overuse the Internet, or both. It seems anxiety and Depression can occur both before and after developing this condition. I think anxiety and depression are two sides of the same coin, and perhaps both work in a way to prevent timely healing even after infection or allergic reactions have subsided. It's certainly not out of the question.
