A sore anus is the result of repeated diarrhea and acids leaving the body. You can use a little oil or ointment (tea tree is good) to soothe and protect the skin. You might also use damp compresses instead of dry toilet paper to wipe. Whenever I do a flush I make sure to have some wet wipes on hand and also use tea tree oil ointment before I start the procedure...and again after each trip to the bathroom. It prevents the skin irritation and soreness.

Do NOT use the Fleet enema!

This is a saline enema that works essentially the same way that the Epsom Salts do...by adding a salt concentration into the colon so that your body brings water into the colon to dilute the salt and hence causes diarrhea. You've already had plenty of diarrhea and lost a lot of body fluids from the Epsom Salts . Make sure to drink plenty of fluids and replace lost electrolytes.

The enemas...or better yet colonic...that are recommended after a Liver Flush are the plain water (purified or distilled) type enemas. These help to wash out any remaining stones and also help to hydrate you.

No, you can't get colitis from using Epsom Salts .
