Not a lot of fun, But a whole lot better than surgery huh?

I think you had the right information and skill at the right time to save yourself a lot of trouble!

In my 10 years of working in a hospital system, (as a technologist of diagnostic radiology), I can tell you that a trip to the ER at anytime in the year for a GB problem is at least a 4-5 hour waiting and testing ordeal. Then you get to wait for at least a day to get on the schedule for surgery. You took care of the emergency yourself in 8 hours, and probably saved yourself or your insurance co. $14,000 (at least) of bills!
