UPDATE after 2.5 mos. of administering Essiac-4 herb (*):
Dosage: 2 oz morning and night. Prepared acc to popularly found method. Found that my dad had filtered using a cloth sieve too much of the dregs. Been corrected since.

Hello to all,

Mighty glad to report that after two and a half months of continuous oral Essiac (see * below), and a subsequent PSA test (10 days ago), the number has come down from 22 to 15.

More importantly, his persistent clinical symptom of a slight limp due to some sort of a metastasis at the sacral region, that had refused to go away for the past 3 years, was suddenly noted gone. He walks normally now.

The only other troubling symptom is that he wakes up at least 2 or 3 times a night to urinate, which can be painful.

I am hoping to even see that problem gone. We have decided to continue taking Essiac for another 2-4 months.

(*): My mom, after I told her about garlic from the above posts here, made sure that my dad took one clove of garlic at least 5 times/week. In addition, the doctor (MD type) also recommended another Indian herb (called locally as "Amrutha balli", translated "Nectar Vine") prepared as a tea.

So, really, we cannot tell which one, or whether all in combination, worked. But, we are very happy with the progress.

So, thank you to all who contributed. I will report again in about 3 months.
