Why do you say that?  Are you aware that studies last year in Hungary found specific silver receptors on human nerve tissue?  I do agree that silver would tend to be more effective for killing infection than numbing pain.  In that regards, ginger root, oil of oregano, cloves and perhaps echinacea tincture might provide more relief.
